Choose the best material for the situation:

If you can recycle, ask for PET (easily recyclable plastic).

If you cannot recycle, ask for PLA (plant-derived compostable plastic). 

PET is 'plastic bottle' material and easy to recycle. As a clear and uncontaminated source, it stands a good chance of being re-made into something new. We recommend making recycling bins highly visible. Additionally re-stacking them back in the original sleeves with further increase the likelihood of recycling.

But at events and locations where the pots are heading for general waste, PLA (plant-derived-plastic) may be the more environmentally friendly choice. Although they will not compost like an apple core, being plant-derived, they are from a sustainable source with a lower carbon foot print than regular plastic.

Both materials are inexpensive and can be relied upon to deliver thousands of small tastes of your product to big crowds for the lowest cost.
