160ml (5oz) / 200ml (7oz) Plant-Derived Compostable Water Cup
Very large volumes. Very low cost.
- Plant derived
- For big numbers
- Lowest cost
Like the finest athletes working for tiny incremental gains, water cup manufacturers strive to make their cups competitively priced by making them ever lighter and more efficient. This means using the least possible material and continually improving the packaging and logistics. This produces some environmentally positive side effects that may surprise you:
Reduce: The result is a cup that uses the least possible resources in everything from its manufacture to its delivery.
Reduce further: Use the cups with a plumbed-in water cooler system and packaging waste is further reduced.
Recycle: To complete the picture, used water cups are uncoloured and uncontaminated by other materials, making them a fine source material for recycling.
These cups are made in a choice of two materials:
Polypropylene: Ordinary plastic. Lowest cost. Easy to recycle and likely to be made in to new products if recycled with care. Please make recycle bins easy to use and consider joining a dedicated cup recycling scheme.
PLA (compostable): A plant-derived plastic that is therefore sustainable and has a naturally lower CO2 footprint. This material is not-so-easy to recycle, but at events where the cups are heading for general waste anyway, plant-derived-plastic may be the more environmentally friendly choice.
From a marketing perspective, these cups really shine when you need mass deployment for minimum spend:
- 100k minimum print run
- Eight-colour 360-degree print
- Delivered within six weeks
So, for example, if your campaign involves sending a 1000 branded tasting cup to 1000 locations (a million tastes) these cups hit the numbers. Naturally you cannot control the disposal conditions, so we would recommend using the PLA material option and including instructions with the print.
